Dear participants of the Garden Mosaics blog,

I am Alexey. We are happy to open this blog, which will serve like the bridge between the two youth teams located in Tomsk, Russia and The Bronx, USA. Together we will explore the environmental issues in our own cities, and will learn about the environment and culture abroad.

I will help to guide this web communication during the next several weeks. When you have any questions regarding our schedule, topics, or technical issues, please send me an email: gm@alexey.cc – I am here to serve you.

As we proceed, educators will help youth in both cities to conduct the Garden Mosaics activities and share what we learn through i-m-science database and through this blog.

Hi friends,

I am Marina. I will help to moderate this blog together with Alexey. I am working at the Center of Environmental Policy and Information, which facilitates implementation of the Garden Mosaics in Tomsk, Russia.

This week the educators who lead the Garden Mosaics in Baltimore and Tomsk will present themselves and their programs. Next week we will launch the communication among youth from both cities. We will ask both teams to post messages to discuss the topics from our blog plan. Also feel free to post messages on any related topics of your interests, or to interrogate your overseas partner with your questions.
